Marriage In The Name Of The Reich

A decree has been promulgated by Herr Hitler imposing a uniform marriage and divorce law throughout the Reich, including Austria. where the effect will be most felt. "It is no longer tolerable to Nazi statesmanship.” says the decree, “that the majority of the marriages in Austria should be conducted by a priest alone, without any participation by the State." Henceforth, the only valid marriage will be one contracted before a registrar in the name of the Reich.
