United Outclassed
Hockey
United were completely outclassed and it was only in the closing stages of the game that the forwards showed to any advantage. Their defence .was severely tested throughout. Faulty kicking by Saul was to a certain extent responsible for their downfall. Fyfe was in good form but was having too much ground to cover. Smeal and Presswood worked hard, the latter showing better judgment in eluding attacking forwards. For Mata goals were scored by Challenger (2), Blake (2), Price (2). and W. Johns.— Mata 7, United 1. The umpires were Messrs A. J. Magee and P. Whittle.
