Three Children Burned To Death
(Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 10. During the absence of their parents at a neighbour’s home, three children, Shirley Croke, aged nine; Winifred Croke, aged seven; and David Croke, aged five, were burned to death in a wooden hut 19 miles from Camden. last night. The parents and two elder daughters were playing cards at a neighbour’s residence when the fire occurred, and they were unable to rescue the children owing to the flames having too great a hold.
