Clearing, right away from the field at the six-furlong post, Green Cape had one of the easiest victories ever recorded in the Victoria Grand National Steeplechase, at Flemington yesterday. The much-fancied i Gnair and Deckard led early, but both faded out. Carrying 12.0, the veteran Pooley Bridge won his second Doutta Galla Hurdles, of £SOO, two and a-quarter miles, beating Davanthus and Laveur. Details:—
