I Tlio sale of Australian-bred yearlings, the property of Mr Hamilton, of Sydney, wa.s held at Trentham yesterday, the auctioneers being Messrs. Wright. Stevenson and Co., Ltd. The top price of 525 guineas was realised by the bay colt by Caledon. from Isalon. which was bought by Mr J. Baker, of Morrinsville. Mr R. B. Hines, of Te Aroha, paid 450 guineas for a Brazen-Ridicule colt. Mr W. H. Barton, of Matamata, secured a Spearhead-Silo j colt for 200 guineas, and a CaledonSaudra filly for 215 guineas. A BrazenIrolene filly went to Mr F. C. Christie, of Hyde, for £230. A brown filly by Constant Son, from Lady Cynosure, was bought by Mr H. E. Mai'tin. of Christchurch. for 400 guineas. A number of other yearlings and several other horses were offered for sale, but there were several passings.
