Perjury Added To Conspiracy Charge

(Received 10 a m.) SYDNEY, July 7. There was a, further development today at the hearing, in the Central Police Court, of the case against Erie Campbell, aged 45, solicitor, and one time leader of the New Guard. Brigad-ier-General Herbert William |Lloyd, aged 54, member of the Legislative Assembly, and Richard Arthur Dewsbury, accountant, who are charged with s . conspiracy to defraud. Counsel, for the Grown, Mr J. W. Shand, told the magistrate that charges of perjury had been preferred, against Campbell and Dewsbury, arising out cf certain replies they gave in the Equity Court proceedings on March 15, which led to the present proceedings. Both men were then formally charged with perjury.

Mr Shand said the evidence to be given in regard to the alleged conspiracy would also be evidence relating to the charge of perjury.
