Disastrous Fire At Melbourne
(Received 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE. June 12. Damage amounting to £28,000 was done by a fire which destroyed two large factories and a block of cottages at Burnley, the industrial part of Melbourne, today. The fire had been burning for about three hours before it was detected, and when it was at its height the flames covered one and a-half acres. One factory was occupied by the Fearlite Company. Flakers. Ltd., the Dixie Flake Food Company and the Standard Company. all makers of groceries. The other was a furniture factory.
