Mr. Roosevelt's Protest
The President, Mr Roosevelt, in a wireless address from Washington, took unusual means of making known his protest against the Congressional actions regarding the Tax Bill on April 23. He declared that he believed that the Congressional modification allowed a loophole by which the rich would escape just taxation and a deep social injury would be committed.
