Jewish Shuttlecocks

(Received 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 26. Nazi Black Guards brought 56 Austrian Jews by lorry to Sterck, on the French frontier, and told them to enter France, says the Paris correspondent of “The Times.” The Jews told the French that after the deprivation of their properly they were forced to sign papers renouncing German nationality. French guards escorted them back to the German frontier, on the ground that Germany could not be allowed to create a precedent by expelling her own subjects to foreign soil in defiance of international law. German frontier guards tried to stop the Jews returning, but finally escorted them to barracks.
