Tolley Produces Remarkable Form

(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON. May 25. In the second round of tire British Amateur Golf Championship at Troon today Cyril Tolley, winner in 1920 and 1929, defeated Alexander Russell (Australia) 5 and 3. Tolley’s magnificent form was remarkable and he played nonchalantly. He has a good chance of winning his third championship.
H. W. Hattersley (Australia) beat J. S, Morrison, 5 and 4; M. J. Ryan (Australia) beat W. Thorburn. 3 and 1: R. Sommerville (Canada) beat Ogilvie (South Africa), 7, and 6; F. Ouimei , non-playing captain of the United States Walker Cup team, beat Dr. W. Tweddel, 4 and 3.
The biggest sensation of the day was provided by Briscoe, an elderly Irishman, who defeated the American Walker Cup player, M. Ward, at the 20th. '
