Maungakaramea
A dancg was hold in the 'Karamea Public Hall under the auspices ol ! the Ladies’ Hockey Club. There was a very good attendance of dancers and spectators. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss M. Courtney and Mr E. Hill. The lucky winner of the cake was Mr T. R. Porter. A delicious supper was handed round by j the hockey girls. Among those noticed during the. evening were:— Mesdames C. Bint, i green crepe de chine, silver trim's mings; E. Smith, green taffeta; Johnj con, white velvet. A jolly time was spent at the residence of Mr and Mrs D. Attwood recently when fellow members of the Men's Hockey Club held a card evening in honour of Mr Fred Bint. Mr D. Attwood and Miss A. Bint were the winners of the card games. A presentation of an afternoon tea-set j was made to the guest of honour, j Slipper was served by the hostess, { Mrs Attwood.
Personals. Mr P. Marsh, of To Awamutu, is visiting his parents. Mr and Mrs T. Marsh Senr. Miss Doris Halliday has returned home offer spending a holiday at Waiuku.
