NELSON. Saturday
New records were created yesterday by Cook Strait Airways, when 150 passengers were carried on the planes, flying continuously between Nelson and Wellington, from 6.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.. with frequent services between Wellington and Blenheim. The West Coast service was extended to Greymouth only, owing to the flooding of the Hokitika aerodrome. Four planes and sfx pilots were engaged. Last Thursday, despite most adverse weather conditions, Cook Strait Airways carried 50 passengers across the strait.
