LSpecial To “Northern Advocate.”! AUCKLAND, This Day. A young man, Ivanhoe Huia Leslie Bickneli, aged 27, pleaded guilty to 17 charges of obtaining money and fljoods by false prfetences, and appeared for sentence in the Supreme Court yesterday. “There have been a great number of cases before me recently of ablebodied young men discharging obligations ot others, land who seem, like the prisoner, to prefer a life of crime to some small amount of self-denial and* living remarked his Honour, in sentencing Accused to 12 months’ imprisonment.
