A fair yarding of cattle and pigs came forward at the weekly Kamo sale of the North Auckland Farmers’ Co-op. Ltd. Competition was good and everything was sold under the hammer. Forward dairy cows, £5/10/ to £6 10/; more backward. £4 to £5/5/; in-
ferior sorts, to £3/10/;‘heavy fat cows, 1o £8; medium cows, £5/5/ to £6/15/; heavy boner cows, to £4; light cows, £2 to £3/3/; cows and calves. £3/10/ to £5; boner bulls. £3 to £7/10/: yearling Jersey heifers. £3/6/ to £4; Shorthorn bull calves, to £3.
Sheep Fair at Kaikohe,
The North Auckland Farmers’ Coop., Ltd., report holding a sheep fair at Kaikohe yesterday. Considering that this was the first fair to be held in the Kaikohe district, there was an excellent yarding, with competition brisk throughout. Prices obtained were bettor than those ruling at recent fairs. No outs'de buyers were present, the sheep being bought for the North. Prices; —
Light fat wethers made from 23/ to 24/2; good two-tooth store wethers, 20/6 to 22/; small two-tooth wethers, 18/6 to 20/; good two-tooth ewes, 31/ to 33/; medium two-tooth ewes, from 28/6 to 30/; small two-tooth ewes, 24/ to 25/9; four-year ewes, 22/ to 24/3; five-year-old ewes, 19/ to 21/; six and seven-year-old ewes, 12/ to 14/6; aged and cull ewes, 7/ to 11/6; good store lambs, 13/ to 14/3; medium store lambs. 11/ to 12/9; small store lambs, 7/ to C/9; ewe lambs, good quality, 9/6 to 21/; medium ewe lambs, 15/6 to 16/9; smaller ewe lambs, 11/ to 12/9; oneshear Romney rams, 6 to 7 gns.; oneshear Southdown rams, 10/6 to £3/3/; aged rams, all breeds, 5/- to 16/.
