Dalgety’s Auction At Kamo
Messrs Dalgcty and Co., report holding their usual weekly stock sale at
Kamo on Tuesday when there was only a small yarding with a small attendance of buyers, the majority of farmers being at present busy with the seasonal work in connection with their sheen. )
Fat cows made up to £6 10/-; lighter sorts, £3 10/- to £4 12/-; cows and calves, from' £3 6/- to £3 13/-; boner cows, to £2 5/-; boner bulls, from £6 to £6 10/-.
At Dalgcty’s sheep fair at Kaikohe on Tuesday there was a full yarding and the majority changed hands under the hammer. The tone was better than at previous fairs this season, prices realised exceeding expectation, showing an advance on those ruling last week. Two-tooth wethers made from 19/to 22/-; two-tooth ewes, from 28/- to 33/-; smaller from 22/- to 26/-; four-year-old, 22/6; good five-year-old, 18/to 21/-; older, 10/- to 14/-; good ewe lambs made to 19/11; others from 14/to 17/-; good wether lambs, to 14/-; medium sorts. 9/- to 11/-; culls from 6/- to 8/-.
