NORTHLAND’S FIRST BLOODHOUND

A breeder of horses, pedigree Jerseys, Scotch terriers and poultry, Mrs V. Donaldson is adding to her reputation by importing to Northland a bloodhound bitch the third female bloodhound in New Zealand. Obtained from an Australian kennel, the animal purchased by Mrs Donaldson secured a championship under the English judge at the Royal Show, Melbourne. and also received the award for the best dog of other breeds. The breeder from whom the dog was pm-chased has disposed of all his dogs to the Melbourne police. They will be trained in police work and used for tracking. Recently, Mrs Donaldson received advice that her dog is being shipped aboard the Omana, which leaves Australia for New Zealand on January 13.
