WOOL SALES RESUME AT WELLINGTON MONDAY

Commercial

[Special To. “Northern Advocate.”] AUCKLAND, This Day. Monday will see the resumption of the 1937-38 series of New Zealand wool sales, when the first auction since the EHmedin sale on December 21 will be held at Wellington. The New Zealand Wool Committee has fixed the limit for the second Wellington sale at 30.000 bales, but the total to be submitted will be a little more than 28,000 bales. Of the five wool sales held so far this season, the first Auckland sale was the only one where the catalogue was filled. However, at that auction a considerable amount was withdrawn owing to the sharp decline of values. Despite improvements which took place at Wellington and Napier and at the following sales in the South, growers were not altogether willing sellers.
