[Special To “Northern Advocate’’] WELLSFORD, This Day. Owing to the holiday period, there was only a small yarding of cattle, sheep and young pigs at the sale held at WcJJsford this week by Alfred Buckland and Sons. Ltd. The demand was good for all cattle and for young pigs. Young-pigs are bringing good prices for this time of the year. Owing to the abundance of feed, store cattle are selling well, and fat and killable cows were in good demand. Quotations were:— Light fat Shorthorn cows. £5/10/; killable Shorthorn cows. £3/13/ to £4 5/; fat Jersey cows, £3/10/; empty store cows. £2/10/ to £3/14/; cuil cows, 24/; good vealers, £2/12/0; Jersey bulls, £3/14/; shorn mixed fourand five-year-old ewes. 14/; small store pigs. 27/6.
