HAWKE’S BAY MEETING WINDS UP

The Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s summer meeting was concluded yesterday in brilliant weather. There was an excellent attendance, and the totalisator handled £11,669, compared with £10,726 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £23,388, against £21,218 last year, an increase of £2l7Ci for the meeting. Concluding results:—
Matpiro Handicap, of 100 sovs.; six furlongs.—(l) Flying Comedy, 7.12, 1; (5) Amoroso, 7.3, 2; (3) Tommy Atkins, 7.9, 3. Five other starters. A length; a neck. Time: 1.15 3-5.
President’s Handicap, of 150 sovs.; nine furlongs,—(4) Pladie, 7.9|, 1; (1) Hunting Cat. 9,0, 2; (2) Soho, 8.5, 3. One other starter. Half a head; two lengths. Time: 1.54.
Second Juvenile, Handicap, of 100 sovs.; two-year-olds; five and a-half furlongs.— (2) Lady Furst, 8.0, 1; (3) Laughing Song, 7.7, 2, (1) Kathbella, 8.10, 3. One other starter. Two lengths; a neck. Time: i 9 3-5.
Omahu Handicap, of 100 sovs.; nine furlongs.—(6) Agog. 7.12, 1; (7) Seyfricd, 7.13, 2; (2) Skyway, 8.6, 3. Six other starters. Half a length; a neck. Time: 1.57. . •
Final Handicap, of 125 sovs.; six furlongs.—(2) Slippery, 8,6, 1; (5) Kahikatoa, 7.6, 2; (1) Sardius, 7.7, 3. Two other starters. Half a length each way. Time: 1.14.
