The Stratford,Racing Club’s meeting was concluded yesterday in fine weather, before a good attendance. The totalisator handled £23,277/10, an increase of £547 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £47,258, an increase of £5028/10/. R. E. Walsh, rider of Professional, in the Stratford Hack Handicap, was suspended for a month for careless riding. Concluding results:— Stratford Hack Handicap, of 200 sovs.; nine furlongs.—(2) Lickem, 8.0, 1; (9) Naughty Marietta, 7.0, 2; (10) Bonny Glow, 7.5, 3. Eight other starters. A neck; a head. Time: 1.57. Malone Memorial Handicap, of 300 sovs.; nine furlongs.—(s) Middle, 7.0, 1; (1) Lady Kyra, 8.7, 2; (3) Onewhetu, 8.9, 3. Three other starters. Threequarters of a length; a neck. Time: 1.55 3-5.
Makuri Hurdles, of 165 sovs.; miles. —(2) Boughal, 10.11, 1; (1) Don Erma, 10.0, 2; (5) Riotous, 10.6, 3, Three other starters. Two lengths; length and a-half. Time; 2.50 2-5.
Electric Juvenile Handicap, of 150 sovs.; five furlongs.—(2) Hunting Blood, 8.7, lj (1). Namara, 8.1, 2; (3) Friskland, 8.8, 3. Seven other starters. A length; half a length. Time: 1.0 4-5.
