Old Man's Fatal Fall From Train

DUNEDIN, This Day,

A fatality occurred on, the Otago Central railway line yesterday afternoon, when Mr Henry Pritchard, aged 74, a retired harbour board employee, who lived at Carey’s Bay, Port Chalmers, fell from the Cromwell-Dunedin express, receiving extensive injuries. The accident took place about 2.40 p.m„ when the train was passing Matarae. Mr Pritchard apparently falling from the carriage platform. He was accompanied by his son and daughter, and was seen on the platform a few minutes before he was missed.
