Ruakaka District Notes

The One Tree Point Road has just been given a few loads of metal to fill holes worty by heavily laden trucks, Wilson’s road has been surveyed. At present many cars are held up by the rough going. Mr and Mrs J. W. Wilson are spending Christmas week in Auckland with relatives.

Mr J. C. Palmer has arrived to spend a 'holiday with his wife and daughter. Mr and Mrs Trail and family have returned to Ruakaka from Warkworth, where they have been for a year. Miss Taylor, from Palmerston North, is visiting her brother, Mr H. Taylor, One Tree Point Road.

An unusually large haul of snapper was obtained by local, fishermen last week-end by means of a drag net, near 400 fine fish being hauled in.
