French Freighter Rescued From Rebels

PERPIGNAN, December 29,
The French destroyer Vauquelin rescued the French freighter Yolande after seizure by the insurgent cruisers Canarias and Almirante Cervera. The Yolande was bound from Marseilles to Barcelona, and it was alleged that she was carrying arms. The destroyer finally escorted the Yolande to Port Vendres, after promising that she would be searched- there today.
