Shipping Resumes Activities. With the resumption of shipping activities on the Auckland waterfront after the Christmas adjournment, the Whangarei town wharf was again the scene of unloading operations this morning, when the Claymore arrived with a fair load of produce from the city. Operations will again be suspended on Friday night and will take up their normal running again on Tuesday of next week.
Late Mrs A. I. Cafler Laid To Rest, The funeral of the late Mrs A. I. Cafler was held quietly yesterday afternoon at the Kamo Cemetery. Numei’ous floral emblems were received from all parts of the district and messages of sympathy were conveyed from a large circle of friends. The funeral left the late Mrs Cafler’s residence in Cafler’s Avenue and proceeded to the cemetery, where a service was conducted by the Rev. J. C. Guineas.
