“HOPALONG RIDES AGAIN” AT
THE PLAZA,
A real holiday house thoroughly enjoyed the programme presented at the Plaza last evening. The chief attraction was a western drama with William Boyd in the stellar role. , Hopalong Cassidy is always a great draw, and the audience last evening showed that his popularity has not waned. With his bosom companion, “Windy,” and others who always figure in his "outfit,” Hopalong was prevailed upon to drive a largo mob of cat lie to a given spot in an almost impossible time. All went well until (lie villain of the piece, the head of a gang of rustlers, masquerading as a scientist, stampeded the cattle by means of dynamite. This led to dramatic incidents which multiplied in whirlwind fashion until the rustlers were non est. the cattle recaptured and all ended so promisingly that “Windy,” observing his two companions’ meditative expressions as they rode home, said in characteristic fashion, “seems as if spring's coming.” For clean, unalloyed excitement and adventure, mixed with human touches, “Hopalong Rides Again” is well worth seeing. It is preceded by an amusing comedy “Partners in Crime,” The programme will be repeated this evening.
