One man was killed at 2 o’clock on

Christmas morning when a car containing five young men got out of control on the waterfront road, at Mission Bay. and crashed broadside into a telegraph pole. The victims were:— Killed: Mr Andrew Miller Donnachic, aged 2G, single, motor service driver, of Great North Road, New Lynn, who died just before 2 o’clock on Saturday morning. Injured: Mr Kenneth Lloyd Williams, aged 24, single, motor service driver, of Clevec'one. severe head injuries and con-" cussion. His condition is still serious. Mr Foreman, of Mission Bay, amusements showman, head injuries. Mr Charles Taylor, of Mission Bay. amusements showman, minor cuts and r brasions. Mr Charles E, Hammond, of St. j Jfeliers Bay. amusements showman.: minor cuts and abrasions. The car Jumped the culvert on to the j footpath be tore striking a telegraph I pole. Mr Donnachic was thrown into! the culvert and suffered extensive in- j juries, while Mr Williams, who was j sitting in the front seat, was rendered j unconscious. The two men were taken ] to the Auckland Hospital. !
