w The steamer Saros, of 3304 tons, * owned by Australian Steamships. ;■ Ltd., went ashore at Cape Everard, A Eastern Victoria. 300 miles from Melj bourne, in a dense fog ou Saturday night. •

The accident happened (100 yards west of the Cape Everard lighthouse. A heavy sea is running, and the Saros is breaking up. The collier Burwah arrived on the scene and took off. all the crew under great difficulty! She is proceeding to Sydney.
