Engines Collide At Wellington

A collision between a heavy shunting engine and a locomotive which was backing on to the 10.15 a.m. New Plymouth express resulted in a hold-up of traffic at the Wellington station, and the express was delayed till 11.10 a.m. The engines were locked together and a good deal of difficulty was found in separating them. The tender of the shunting engine was derailed. No serious damage was caused either to the engines or the track.
