Freezing Workers’ Dispute Goes To Court

After a conference between representatives of employers and workers, the New Zealand freezing workers’ Dominion dispute came before the Second Ax’bitration Court to-day. The conference had extended throughout yesterday and into the forenoon to-day, parties settling part of the points in dispute. Mr Justice Hunter presided, and with him were Mr Anderson and Mr Croskery.

Mr E. C. Walker, of Christchurch, and J. J. Evans appeared for the employers, and W. E. Sill for the workers! The principal matters in dispute are wages and hours. The hearing is proceeding.
