The National Party At Kerikeri
A well-attended meeting of friends and supporters was held at Kcrikeri on Wednesday night. Mr Tomlinson was in the chair.
Mr T. G. Wilkes, organiser, explained the aims and objects of the party, and stressed the necessity of unity amongst all sections of the community who arc opposed to Socialism. The Now Zealand National Party, he said, offered to those who joined a voice in its administration. The selection of the candidate was in the hands of the members of the party in each electorate. At the conclusion of his address, Mr Wilkes answered several questions, and it was then decided to form a branch cf the party at Kerikeri. A strong committee, with power to add, was elected to inaugurate a thorough campaign for members. Mr Leo Dv/an was elected chairman, and Mr E. Miller secretary.
