Parakao Domain Board
A public mooting to form a now board to control the affairs of the Parakao Domain, was hold: at Parakao on Monday night. Owing to (ho chairman, Mr G. Hunter, being indisposed, Mr J. Tims presided over a; fair attendance.
The election of officers resulted: Messrs. G. Hunter (chairman), M. W. Wilson (secretary), F. Grantham, J. Tims, A. Wady and F. Platt, The secretary reported' that a donation of £lO was made by the Whangarci County Council towards the development of the domain. It was decided, to apply for a subsidy to the value of £lO under the 4B Scheme.
An application is also to be made to the Minister for Internal Affairs for assistance in the development of a playing area on the domain. The board members arc to meet on the domain next Sunday, to survey and make comprehensive plans. Hall Meeting.
The Parakao Hall Society held a meeting in tho Parakao Hall on Monday night. Mr M. W. Wilson presided over a good attendance. A deputation from, die Women’s Institute sought co-operation in holding a Paddy’s Market next March on a 50. 50 basis with tho society. This offer was accepted.
The resignation of Mr L. McNabb was accepted with regret, and Mr H. Smith was appointed to the committee in his place. Mr Id Brake (Titokii was appointed ho no rant auditor.
