’JPHE story of how a man who had escaped from custody three years ago and was picked up in a car recently by a constable, who recognised him. was told in the Pukckohe Police Court yesterday, when David Watts, labourer, aged 37, was charged before Justices with escaping from lawful custody on October 27, 1934. Watts was commiteed to the Supreme Court for sentence.—Special.

Op HE danger that an attempt would be made to prohibit advertising by dentists in Now Zealand was voiced yesterday by representatives of a number of lai’ge dentists in Auckland, who said 'that any endeavour to enforce an immediate ban on advertising by obtaining the Government sanction to restrictive regulations represented a breach of faith. —Special.
