Tutukaka Wharf Conference In New Year
Although the Wliangarci Harbour Board yesterday appointee'; a delegation to meet county council representatives and the settlers on the ground. Mr E. L. Whimp expressed the fear that no great progress towards the building of a wharf at Tutukaka would be t’ne outcome of the conference. The Marine Department has offered to make a grant available, provided local bodies subsidise the work.
The chairman. Mr J. A. Finlayson; We must meet them to discuss all possibilities.
The conference will probably take place early in the New Year.
