FOUR SHOTS FIRED: ESCAPED UNHURT
(Received 10 a.m.) CAIRO, November 28
■ Four shots were fired at the Prime Minister of Egypt, Nahas Pasha, as he drove through Heliopolis today to attend a political meeting, but he,> was not hurt.
A policeman leaped from an escorting car and captured an Egyptian youth, Izzedine Abdel Khader, who had two revolvers in his possession.
Khader was in the uniform of the Green Shirt organisation, the members of which are young Egyptians, who are hostile to the Prime Minister and to the AngloEgyptian Treaty.
After the shooting incident,- Nahas Pasha drove to the meeting, where he personally announced the attempted assassination.
Serious Disturbance,
Crowds of his supporters armed with sticks, marched from the meeting and broke the windows of the Opposition newspapers. Small bands of hooligans created disturbances elsewhere.
A more serious disturbance occurred outside the home of Mahamed Mahmud Pasha, Leader of the Opposition, who ordered his servants to fire into the air. The crowd also fired.
The police charged and, several of the demonstrators were injured. Khader is aged 21, the grandson of Arabi Pasha, leader of the 1882 revolution.
