Northlanders For Junior Tennis Champs?

A boy named Smith <Kaikohe) and K. Crawford (Whangarei) have been tentatively nominated by the North Auckland Lawn Tennis Association as candidates to represent the district in the junior championships for players under 18, to be contested at Christchurch in January,

The New Zealand Association will pay half the expenses of juniors sent from this area, and it is felt that ad-

vantage should be taken of the opporunity offered. Contact is being made with the parents of the two boys nominated, in order that their feelings in the matter may be ascertained.

When the selection is confirmed, the North Auckland association will arrange coaching for Smith and Crawford. The players are young and the experience gained by their competing

in the Christchurch competitions should be invaluable.
