Mrs Ken Prowso, and small son, Frank, returned on Thursday night after two months spent in Wanganui. Miss Thelma McCartney returned from Whangarei on Thursday evening. She will stay witn her parents for several months.

Mrs Prowso was a recent winner at the Wanganui A. and I*. Association Show, scoring first, third and vh.e., in the knitting classes, and first, second, third and v.h.c. in the soft toy class. At the W.D.F.U. show she obtained first and second for knitting. The East End Community held their annual picnic on Saturday. They left at 8 o’clock by lorry for Kefikeri, thence by launch to the Heads. The day, which was simply glorious, was spent in sunbathing, swimming and fishing.
