Armistice Negotiation Rumour Denied
CIVIL WAR
(Received 10 a.m.) MADRID, November 25. General Maija denies rumours that the Government is negotiating for an armistice. “I am firmly resolved to fight for a definite victory,” he says. “I will never negotiate with those who permitted foreigners to invade Spain. Our motto is: ‘Spain for the Spaniards. Expel the invaders.’ ”
