Mr A. W. Martin manager for New Zealand of the National Mutual Life Insurance Company is on a visit to Whangarei and is a guest at the Settlers’ Hotel.
Mr J. T. Merry, of Opotiki, who contested the Bay of Plenty seat at the last general election, has publicly announced his intention of standing at the next election in the interests of the National Party.
