Second Court Of Arbitration Sits
[Per Press Association. Comjright. J AUCKLAND, Friday. For the first time, the Second Court of Arbitration sat to hear a dispute today, the new judge, Mr W. J. Hunter, and his associates, Mr W. E. Anderson, employers’ assessor, and Mr A. W. Croskery, employees’ assessor, when they had before them the dispute of the Auckland Hatters’ Union.
Congratulations to the new judge were expressed by Mr W. S. Moxsom. representing the employees and Mr IT. J. Bishop, representing" the employers. Appreciation of the welcome was expressed by Mr Hunter. Ho hoped that in the high position to which they had been called, his colleagues and himself would bo able to carry out valuable work for the community. • The court had heavy arrears of work, and ho asked advocates to make evidence as brief as possible.
