Croquet Openings
The Waipu Croquet Club also launched its new season under the best possible conditions. After the bowling opening, the visitors adjourned to the courts, where Mrs. J. McLean made a happy welcoming speech and hit the first ball. Results of the competitions at the Kensington Croquet Club’s opening were:
Bowling, Mrs. Greenbury, Xaikohe; golf, Mrs. Jones, Hikurangi; ladder, Mrs. Morrison, Whangarei; bagatelle, Mrs. D. Woolley; rings, Mrs. Wallace Calder.
