Budget Unlikely Before End Of Week
[From Our Parliamentary Special .l WELLINGTON, Manday.
Immediately the Address-in-Rcply i debate concludes, the Government proposes to take two Bills. These will deal with an amendment to the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration. Act, and the Fair Rents Act. Both measures v/ill be given urgency, and will bo put through in one sitting. When this work is completed, the presentation of the Budget can be expected. The financial statement, it was said to-day, is ready for presentation, but in view of the necessity of completing the Address-in-Reply debate and the passing of the two Bills mentioned, it was unlikely the Budget would appear in the House before the end of the week.
