Webb, the Governor-Gen-eral, Lord Galway, arrived at Greymouth last evening and was tendered a civic reception. She has been lying at Clyde Quay, Wellington, for some time, while dismantling operations have been carried out, and she is shortly to make her last voyage. She will be taken round 1 to Evans Bay, where she will be run ashore and broken up for scrap by the local merchants to whom she has been sold. —Press Assn.

A NEW mark for the New Zealand ' ’ intermediate girls’ 100 yards backstroke was set in the municipal baths, Invercargill, last night by Miss Joyce McDonald, whose time was 77 4-ss. The remains of the late Sir Eric Geddes, head of Imperial Airways, and a wartime general. and admiral, will be cremated and the ashes scattered on the Imperial Airways air mail route.
