HEWING OF COAL STOPPED. The Hikurangi Coal Company’s new colliery is again in trouble with water 'and as the result of excessive seeping in a week ago, six men have been temporarily put off, and the hewing of coal stopped while the other miners devote their labours to ridding the workings of water. The men . have been working odd shifts and it is hoped to have dewatered the mine by the week-send.
