MR SEMPLE’S HEALTH TRIP TO AUSTRALIA

Per Presi Association. Copyright.} WELLINGTON, This Day. The Acting-Prime Minister, the Hon P. Fraser, stated last night that, although the Hon. R. Semple had returned to his Ministerial duties, and ' thrown himself into his many tasks with his usual enthusiasm, the Cabinet felt that it would be unwise for the Minister to shoulder his heavy admin- , istrative burdens until he had made further progress in physical recovery. , ■£** “It was therefore decided, at yesterday’s meeting of the Cabinet,” said Mr Fraser; “that arrangements should be made for Mr Semple to visit Australia for a few weeks, with a view to aiding his recovery.

“It is Mr Semple’s intention, if his health permits, to carry out an investigation in the Commonwealth in connection with transport and electrical power schemes. The Minister had.intended to make such an investigation after the next session.”
