CALF CLUB COLUMN

Commencing Next Week SUGGESTIONS WANTED June has nearly flown. Not much longer to wait now before you can keep an eye open for your Ideal calf—the one that is to win you honour and glory at the calf club parades towards the end of the year. Any calf born after July 1 is eligible. You veterans remember all you learned last year. I know the older a calf was when parade day came, the better, chance it had of carrying off a prize. Don’t delay then. Make up your mind at once to. join a calf club, and discuss with father the likelihood of obtaining a good calf just as soon- as you can after July 1. Those who listened-in last Tuesday will know how to go about selecting a calf. If you had no radio, however, don’t worry, because the text of the broadcast will be repeated in the Galf Club Column which commences in, the “Young Northlander” on Tuesday next. This will not displace the Swe et Pea Column, though, but in future will appear every second Tuesday, the two columns alternating. > Let this year’s column be ev eu better than it was in. 1936. We want readers to take the same keen interest that they did last year. If you have any ideas pass them on. All suggestions will be welcome. We want to have the best possible column; you can help us to conduct it. Put on your thinking caps, No rthlanders.
