There is a good attendance, and the track is in excellent order. Results:— , Hastings Handicap, of 100 sovs; five furlongs and a half.—(s) Colleen Gain, 8.6, 1; (4) Marsyas, 8.6, 2; (7) First Chapter, 8.11, 3. Scratched: Shani, Mahala. Head; neck. Time, 1.10. Hawke’s Bay Hurdles, of 150 sovs; one mile arid three-quarters.—(7) Iddo, 9.2, 1; (2) Jdurnet, 10.10, 2; (1) John Charles, 10.12, 3. All started. Two. | lengths and a half; a neck. Time—3.lß 2-5. ■
Havelock Handicap, of 100 sovs; six furlongs and a half.—(2) Fossicker, 9.7, 1; (4) Gladium, 8.5, 2; (2) Royal Feast, 9.4, 3. Liane was scratched. A head; two lengths. Time—l. 24.
June Steeplechase, of 150 sovs; about two miles and a half.—(2) Riotous, 11.0, 1; (5) Padnos,. 9.0, 2; (3) Cotsfield, (—), 3. Battleground and Monarchy were scratched.
