The winter meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club opened at Alexandra Park today in fine weather. As a consequence, there is a good attendance. The course, after recent rain, is on the heavy side. • Result’s: — Winter Handicap, of 150 so vs; trot ters; limit, 3.45; one mile and a half.— (5-6) Bingen Sun, scr. 1; (3-1) Native Princess, scr, 2; (4-4) Te Kahu, 108yds, 3. Win Huon was scratched. A length; one length and a half. Time—3.43 3-5. Mangere Handicap, of 150 sovs; limit, 3.40; one mile and a half.—(6-6) Chartens Bay, scr, 1; (2-2) Hot Point, 12yds, 2; (1-1) Crocus, 24yds, 3. Ranfurly Lass, Glen Travis and Queenie Direct were scratched. Half a length; three Lengths Time—3.4o 2-5. Hobson Handicap, of 180 sovs; one mile and a half; limit 3.30.—-(5-6) Quid Hairst, scr, 1; (3-3) Kewpi’e’s Crest, scr, 2; (9-9) Kewpie’s Bond, 36yds, 3. Great Jewel was scratched. Two lengths and a half; eight lengths. Time —3.30 2-5. Adams Memorial Cup, of 350 sovs, land gold cup valued at 50 sovs;, two miles; limit, 4.34.—(7-7) Our McKininey, scr, 1; (3-3) Nervie’s Last, 12yds, 2; (5-5) Star Pronto, 12yds, 3.
