Soubrette At Suva
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day. The 45ft ketch rigged yacht Soubrette, owned by Mr G. Mills Palmer, of Auckland, which left for a cruise to Lord Howe. Island, Brisbane and the Great Barrjer Reef last month, is at Suva and reports state that the more ambitious cruise has been abandoned. After leaving Auckland the yacht visited Whangarei. As it was'blowing hard from the south-west when she left, it was decided to maks for Suva. Light winds were experienced on the greater part of the way north, Suva being reached in 12 days from Whangarei.
