’ There was a good attendance. of members and friends of the Otaika Tennis Club at the social evening held at the; home of- Mrs W. Kerr last Thursday evening. A delicious supper was served by the hostess and arrangements for the next two evenings' were made. f The singing of “Auld . Lang Syne” brought an enjoyable and profitable evening to a close', the proceeds going towards the tennis club’s funds. Mr and Mrs T. J. Marsh, of Maungakaramea, have taken up residence at Otaika for a few months.

Miss M. Gash, of Oratia, Auckland, and formerly of Otaika, has been staying with Mrs W. Kerr at Otaika Valley. Mr J. Middleton has left on a holiday visit to relatives in Melbourne and Sydney.,-
