’ There was a good attendance. of members and friends of the Otaika Tennis Club at the social evening held at the; home of- Mrs W. Kerr last Thursday evening. Games and competitions, were the main features pf the evening’s entertainment. The winners of competitions were Mrs W. Poolman C‘ Aromas”), Mrs J. Lord (names of Radios), Mr R. Kilford (Advertisements) and Mr F. Evans (road signs),
A delicious supper was served by the hostess and arrangements for the next two evenings' were made. f The singing of “Auld . Lang Syne” brought an enjoyable and profitable evening to a close', the proceeds going towards the tennis club’s funds. Mr and Mrs T. J. Marsh, of Maungakaramea, have taken up residence at Otaika for a few months.
Miss M. Gash, of Oratia, Auckland, and formerly of Otaika, has been staying with Mrs W. Kerr at Otaika Valley. Mr J. Middleton has left on a holiday visit to relatives in Melbourne and Sydney.,-
