IBritish Official Wire less J (Received 10 a.m.) RUGBY, March 31. The United States Ambassador-at-Large, Mr Norman Davis, has arrived i*:., London to, attend the International Sugar Conference to be held in London on April 9. (

In an interview, Mr Davis said the aim of the conference would be lo find means whereby planters, who at present are working at a loss, might be able to produce sugar profitably but without hurting the consumer. Referring to world economic problems generally, Mr Davis said America was prepared to join in any scheme for the lowering of tariffs.
